Obsessed with Leadership

There are many things that I love to do and that I spend a good deal of time working through. Leadership is one of those things that I am always looking toward and praying for. I do understand myself as a leader, I also follow those who exemplify leadership. As I sit in Annual Conference I pray for the leadership and pray that we build new leaders in the life of the church. Let us lead with passion for a future where the world may know Christ.

Random thoughts from a Random Mind

So today I am going to be working on projects from all over the church and will have to be using pieces of information from all over this place. That means chaos. That means insanity. That usually also means either panic or ideas the start off as crazy but turn into brilliance. I am praying for the brilliance to be seen by the end of the day. Be praying for me.

A little add for fun

Some who follow me know that I am excited about being a triathlete so here is a site that I am a part of that is encouraging me to train. Just a fun fact about me for everyone out there.

The Triathlon season Starts Now

So I have finally given in to the inner athlete in me that cries each night that it does not get to do something. So with the start of the USAT winter log of who can swim, bike, and run I am training now. I know that this is not so much a faith related topic but I do have to say that when I am physically in a good way, I become mentally and spiritually in a good way. So cheer me on and I push myself to the goal of being a triathlete.

A thought about the Old Testament

I have always been amazed at how many people skip over the Old Testament as if it has nothing to say to their lives. I have been reading much of it as of late and feel that most people can learn a ton from studying our history and relationship with God.
Today I would like to challenge anyone to read about King Solomon and then pray about how that might just relate to our current reality. I pray we read the Old Testament more.

I'm a Prophet, now what?

So I just finished a Spiritual gifts inventory and it told me that I have the gift of Prophecy. The book says about Prophecy:

"the gift of speaking the word of God clearly and faithfully. Prophets allow God to speak through them to communicate the message that people most need to hear. While often unpopular, prophets are able to say what needs to be said because of the spiritual empowerment they receive. Prophets do not foretell the future, but they proclaim God's future by revealing God's perspective on our current reality."

I feel that this does speak well to me. For those that only think of prophecy as telling the future I would say no, but to hear that it is proclaiming God's future. I pray for wisdom and grace as I pray for courage to proclaim the future God holds before us.

Will you join me?

TAG

It is always a interesting day when we take the tiem to look with a sharp edge about where we are and where we should be going. Today we see that our lives need to start with motion toward a clear and functional goal. What gets measured is what gets done. Let us start expecting some inspection.
